Charles II (1660-1685), Crown, 1679 TRICESIMO PRIMO, third laureate and draped bust right, rev. four crowned shields cruciform, ten strings to harp, downwards lettered edge, 29.65g, 6h (Lingford 339[b]; ESC 56; Bull 403; S.3358), some striking softness by date, otherwise uniformly cabinet toned with much underlying lustre, almost extremely fine, rare in this exemplary grade and evidently an adjacent striking to the parallel sold in these rooms in July 2022 (lot 210)
