Charles I (1625-1649), Pennies, Tower (under King) (4), Group D, 21 June 1632 - 11 July 1633 (2), Type 3.1, • CAROLVS D : G : M : B : F : ET H : REX, fourth crowned and armoured bust left, wearing round lace collar, I behind, rev. (i.m.) • IVSTITIA • THRONVM • FIRMAT • oval garnished shield, dividing C-R in upper fields, no inner circle, 0.487g, 7h, i.m. harp [on reverse only] (Hawkins -; Brooker -; North 2267; S.2844), once creased, now straightened, otherwise a remarkably neat, round striking, lustrous and finely cabinet toned, a pleasingly bold very fine, arguably a 'Finework', extremely rare thus; another, Types 3.3-3.4, similar, albeit reading... MA : B : F : ET • H : REX, rev. no stops by m.m. on reverse, 0.477g, 3h, m.m. harp (Hawkins -; Brooker -; North 2269; S.2846), slightly creased and on an irregular flan, otherwise richly cabinet toned and lustrous, a pleasingly bold very fine, rare and unrepresented in the Brooker Sylloge; additionally, Type 3.2, legends as first, 0.428g, 4h, m.m. two pellets [on both sides] (Brooker 700; North 2268; S.2845), an outstanding little coin, beautifully struck up on an irregular but full weight flan, a small split at 8 o'clock, otherwise richly and vibrantly cabinet toned and lustrous, choice, as struck, very rare thus; lastly, similar, but beaded inner ring on obverse, 0.504g, 8h, m.m. two pellets (Brooker -; North 2269 ; S.2846), rubbed and scuffed, cabinet toned, fair (4)
