Charles I (1625-1649), Group III, Type 3a3, Halfcrown, 10 November 1645 - 15 February 1646, Tower (under Parliament), (m.m.) CAROLVS • D .' G .' MAG .' BRI .' FRA .' ET • HIB .' REX, third Equestrian Portrait of King trotting left, brandishing upright sword, sash flying behind, no caparison or ground-line, rev. (m.m.) • CHRISTO • AVSPICE • REGNO • larger oval garnished shield, bird-headed harp, 15.067g, 8h, m.m. sun (Brooker 362-363; North 2213; S.2778), slightly doubled in the strike, otherwise attractively lustrous, the obverse with an appealling light grey cabinet tone, a most pleasing very fine and largely as issued
