ROSA • SINE • SPINA, beaded inner circles, large rose, rev. • TVEATVR • VNITA • DEVS, beaded inner circles, large thistle, 0.559g, 9h, no m.m. (North 2106; S.2661), beautifully and colourfully cabinet toned on a large flan, with small striking splits, otherwise a pleasing very fine; another, 10 November 1604 - 20 June 1605, Tower, as before, 0.500g, 8h, m.m. lys (North 2106; S.2661), some partial striking softness, otherwise richly cabinet toned, very fine; also, 21 June 1605 - 10 July 1607, as last, 0.481g, 3h, m.m. rose (North 2106; S.2661), richly cabinet toned with underlying lustre, a pleasing very fine; another, 11 July 1606 - 30 June 1607, as before, 0.473g, 12h, m.m. escallop (North 2106; S.2661), large die flaws in legend and evidence of crimping, otherwise richly cabinet toned and lustrous, very fine or better; and, 12 November 1607 - 17 May 1609, as before, 0.498g, 11h, m.m. coronet (North 2106; S.2661), some striking softness and rubbing to high points, otherwise about very fine; another, 18 May 1609 - 11 May 1610, as first, 0.451g, 2h, m.m. key (North 2106; S.2661), some striking weakness and the reverse off-struck, with a striking fissure at 1 o'clock, cabinet toned, about very fine, scarce; another, 10 May 1611 - 22 May 1612, as before, 0.444g, 1h, m.m. mullet over bell [on obverse only] (North 2106; S.2661), beautifully centred and lustrous with a deep and colourful cabinet tone, a really good very fine, rare; lastly, 23 May 1612 - 28 April 1613, as before, 0.536g, 9h, m.m. tower (North 2106; S.2661), lightly clipped and rubbed, otherwise toned, a bolder fine, a very scarce mark (8)
