Edward VI (1547-1553), Third Period, Fine Silver Issue, Shilling, 1551-1553, Southwark, (Under-Treasurer, Sir John Yorke), crowned and draped facing bust, Tudor rose to left, denomination to right, rev. square-topped shield over long cross fourchée, 5.881g [90.758grns], 4h, m.m. y (North 1937; S.2482), metal stressing to portrait, otherwise with a rich cabinet tone and much underlying flare, a most pleasingly bold very fine, the peripheries practically as struck and in extraordinarily high relief
