CIVITAS LONDON, double-rosette stops, reading DEVM * *MEVM....A-DIVTO-E, long cross and trio of pellets in angles, double rosette stops, 2.927g [45.171grns], 2h, m.m. escallop (North 1705; S.2198A), clipped with minor flan splits and softness to portrait, otherwise attractively cabinet toned, strictly fine; another, Class IIIc, 1495-1498, similar, reading AnGL Z FR', double-arched, plain bands, rev. CIVITAS LONDON, reading DEV : : MEV....A-DIVTO-E, double-saltire stops, long cross and trio of pellets in angles, 3.122g, 12h, m.m. pansy (North 1705; S.2199), lightly clipped and with a split to flan, but with a rich dark cabinet tone, a pleasing very fine (2)
