Edward IV, First Reign (1461-1470), Light Coinage, Groats, 1465-1470, Norwich, m.m. sun (2), crowned bust facing, quatrefoils at neck, lombardic n on breast, rev. CIVITAS NORWIC', long cross and trio of pellets in angles, 2.814g, 1h (North 1582; S.2011), toned, a pleasing fine; another, similar, rev. CIVITAS NORVIC'x, 3.240g, 4h (North 1582; S.2011), hints of die clashing, otherwise a lovely deep cabinet tone, good very fine and the variety 'unpublished' with saltire after NORVIC at last time of offering!
