Henry VI, First Reign (1422-1461), 'Leaf-Pellet' Issue, Groat, 1445-1454, London, crowned bust facing, leaf on breast, pellets beside crown, rev. CIVITAS LONDON, long cross and trio of pellets in angles, additional pellet in first and fourth quarter, 3.666g [56.575grns], 10h, i.m. cross patonce [on obverse only] (North 1503; S.1914), some softness to reverse high points and minor shortness of flan, nevertheless a pleasingly uniform striking for issue, accentuated by appealing and wholesome cabinet tone, a bolder very fine, a scarce variety of this illustrious series
