VILLA BRISTOLLIE long cross and trio of pellets in angles, 1.418g [21.883grns], 2h (North 1014; S.1416 [1386 for type]), struck soft, toned, fine; another, Second Recoinage, Class 9b1, 1299-1301, curved fleurs to crown, top-tilted S, 1.400g, 8h (North 1037/1; S.1416 [1408 for type), vibrantly cabinet toned and lustrous, approaching very fine for issue; and of meaning to Fuller as his 'local' mint; another, Class 9b1, 1299-1301, with star on breast, egg-waisted S, 1.403g, 9h (North 1037/1; S.1416 [1408 for type), toned, good fine; additionally, Berwick, Local dies issue, reading EDWAR R, rev. VILLA BERREVICI, 1.490g, 6h (S.1415), outrageously cabinet toned, good fine; others, Canterbury (2), Class 4b, 1282-1289, pellet before EDW R , CIVITAS CANTOR, long cross and trio of pellets in angles, 1.437g, 2h (North 1024; S.1419 [1395 for type]), ghosting, lightly toned, good fine / very fine; Class 9b1, 1299-1301, star on breast, 1.255g, 10h (North 1037/1; S.1419 [1408 for type]), chipped otherwise granular tone overlying largely uniform fields, strictly very fine and rather optimistically graded by Messrs Spink and Son in November 1900!; additionally, Chester (2), Class 3g, 1280-1281, rev. CIVITAS CESTRIE, 1.359g, 8h (Hawkins 293; North 1022; S.1420 [1393 for type]), colourfully cabinet toned, the reverse a touch off-struck, nevertheless, good fine; lastly, Class 9b1, no star on breast, 1.398g, 8h (North 1037/1; S.1420 [1408 for type]), darkly toned, good fine; an interesting academic grouping (8)
