1846-81 a collection of covers (26) written up for display, each with a form of "more to pay" handstamp, the majority showing a different type or variation, various frankings including covers with 1841 1d. red-brown (3), 1841 2d., perforated 1d. (18), 1870-79 ½d., 1880-81 1d., 1881 1d.; interesting examples include 1871 (27 July) morning envelope from Plymouth to Launceston bearing 1864-79 1d. and 1870-79 ½d. showing "above½oz" within "2" handstamp, 1857 envelope from Glasgow to Paisley struck with "more to pay" straight line handstamp in blue, 1864 envelope from Glasgow to London struck with "more to pay" straight line handstamp in black and "- more-to-pay - a to l", 1865 Cardiff to London bearing "more to pay / over oz", 1872 ½d. wrapper struck with "more to pay / s.w." and "1d" within circle charge mark.
