Paisley Commercial Banking, Scotland, £1, 9th December 1840, serial number 50/904, hand-signed signatures at lower margin,
(PMS PC1), red PAID stamp at centre, very good. The bank was established to compete with the two other existing banks in Paisley. Like the Montrose Bank, Paisley Commercial Banking Company was also acquired by Western Bank of Scotland in 1844.
