Henry IV (1399-1413), Light Coinage, Groat, 1412-1413, London, + hEnRIC : DI : [GRA REX ANG]LIE : Z : FRAnC : (trefoil), crowned bust facing, pellets by crown, all in tressure of nine arcs, rev. saltire after POSVI and a slipped trefoil after TAS, decorative Roman N’s in LONDON, long cross and trio of pellets in angles, 3.48g [53.70grns], 12h (Hawkins 325; North 1358; S.1726), a small striking split, clipped and with ghosting through portrait, presenting scuffs and scratches in antiquity, otherwise toned, strictly fair / a really bold fine, scarce, and with an excellent provenance
