Richard II (1377-1399), Groats, Type II, c. 1377-1390, London (2), Type IIc/e, RICARD 'x DI 'x GRA : REX [ANGL Z FRA]NCIE, re-punched R in RICARD, crowned bust facing, in trefoil-tipped tressure of 9 arches, rev. CIVITAS LONDON, regular-barred N2, with letter forms A2a and T2a, long cross and trio of pellets, 11h, m.m. cross pattée (Potter II(c)/e, Obverse Die 2; BM E4500 same obverse die; BM 1932,0516.44 same obverse die; North 1320b; S.1679), clipped and rubbed, otherwise cabinet toned, almost fine / very fine; another, Type IIc/b, smaller lettering, rev. reverse-barred N1, letter forms A1 and T2a, 1h (Potter II(c)/b; North 1320b; S.1679), rubbed and scratched, but on a fuller flan than the last, about fair / a bolder fine, both scarce (2)
