John 'Lacklands' (1199-1216), 'Short Cross' Penny, 1204-1205, Class 5a2, Norwich, Reinald, + hENRICVS RE | X, crowned bust facing, holding trefoil-tipped sceptre, rev. + RENALD • ON • NOR, short cross voided with quatrefoil in each angle, 1.42g, 8h, i.m. cross pommée (Assheton Pownall, The Cross Pommée on Short Cross Pennies of Henry II and III, Numismatic Chronicle [April 1863], pp. 189-193 ~ this variety listed; SCBI [Mass] 1325; North 969; S.1350B), a rich dark field tone, and pleasingly uniform for strike, good very fine, rare, especially in this condition
