NGC MS65 | *Top Pop* | Edward III (1327-1377), Fourth Coinage, Treaty Period, Group B/a, Half-Noble, 1361-1369, Tower, • ED | WARD : DEI G : REX : ANGL : D : hYB : AG | T, annulet before EDWARD, double-saltire stops, King standing in ship, holding sword and shield, ornaments -11-11, ropes 3/2, quatrefoils 3/2, lis 4, rev. + DOMINE : nE : IN : FVRORE : TVO : ARGVAS : ME, double saltire stops, floriate cross, crowned leopards in angles, E at centre, all in double tressure, 3.87g, 3h, m.m. cross potent (Schneider I, 88-89; North 1239; S.1507), lightly short of flan and weak in parts, including to the King, better in parts, with a pleasing a honest lustre and light golden tone, very fine example of this lesser encountered type, in NGC holder, generously graded MS65 (Cert. #8220522-011) [*Deemed the Finest Example as Certified by NGC*]
