Anne (1702-1714), Pre-Union, Guinea, 1705, first diademed and draped bust left, rev. crowned shields cruciform, six strings to Irish harp, edge obliquely milled, 7.95g, 6h (Ellerby Area 164 different dies; MCE 211; EGC 462 [R2]; Farey 480 [ER]; S.3562), a recent soil-find with resultant pocks, scuffs and scrapes to rims and portrait, somewhat crimped but otherwise uniform for strike, struck details bolder than fine and bordering very fine to reverse, an exceptionally rare date to encounter in the Guinea series in ANY grade, desirable thus
