Anne (1702-1714), Pre-Union, Guinea, 1705, first diademed and draped bust left, rev. crowned shields cruciform, six strings to harp, edge obliquely milled, 6h (MCE 211; EGC 462 [R2]; Farey 480 [ER]; S.3562), removed from a solder mount at 12 o’clock, lightly cleaned and flecked with scuffing to cheek, otherwise uniform for strike, a bold very fine, an extremely rare date seldom encountered at auction
