The L'Abbaye Collection: Part Two | George II (1727-1760), 'Roses and Plumes' Shilling, 1736, larger lettering, young laureate, draped and cuirassed bust left, rev. crowned shields cruciform, with pearls in crowns, nine strings to harp, five hearts to semée, roses and plumes in angles, edge obliquely milled, 6h (Pywell-Phillips 336; ESC 1199; Bull 1707; S.3700), lightly flecked but cabinet toned with much underlying lustre and residual brilliance, a pleasingly bold very fine
