NGC Ch XF | Roman Republic, Q. Servilius Caepio (M. Junius Brutus), moneyer, AR Denarius, 54 BC, LIBERTAS, head of Libertas right, rev. Lucius Junius Brutus advancing left, between two lictors carrying fasces, with an accensus leading the procession, 3.85g (Crawford 433/1; Sydenham 906), detailed, struck slightly off-centre with light cleaning marks, nevertheless toned, lustrous and a good very fine example of this great issue, in an NGC 'Ancients' holder, graded Choice Extremely Fine ~ Scratches (Strike: 5/5, Surface: 2/5) [NGC Cert. #8220524-012]
