Du Preez); Italy Star; War and Africa Service Medals 1939-45, these last three all officially impressed '626262 C. J. Du Preez'; Army L.S. & G.C., E.II.R., 2nd issue, Rhodesia & Nyasaland (Lt. C. J. Du Preez (0468)), mounted as worn, good very fine (6)

Rhodesian M.S.M. Rhodesia Gazette 11 November 1977. The citation states:

'Major Du Preez has been our Quartermaster since 1975. During this time the Battalion has run both a Main and Rear Headquarters and Major Du Preez has proved himself an outstanding Quartermaster in his administration of the Headquarters Rear and his provisioning of the Battalion in the field.

His drive, energy and devotion has ensured that no one has gone without necessary resupply. This attitude has ensured efficiency within the Battalion and the many sub-units under Battalion HQ never cease to praise him for the logistical support which they receive.'

Cornelius Johannes Du Preez served with the 1st Battalion, Rhodesian African Rifles, earning his L.S. & G.C. as per the Rhodesia Gazette of 27 December 1963.
