An unusual post-War 1961 A.F.C. group of seven awarded to Wing Commander L. T. P. Coleman, Royal Rhodesian Air Force
Rhodesia, General Service Medal (Wg. Cdr. L. T. P. Coleman.); Exemplary Service Medal (Wg. Cdr. L. T. P. Coleman.); Air Force Cross, E.II.R., the reverse officially dated '1961'; 1939-45 Star; Italy Star; War and African Service Medal 1939-45, these last two officially named '206931 L. T. P. Coleman' as typical for Rhodesians in the South African Service, mounted court-style as worn, good very fine (7)

Leonard Thomas Patrick Coleman served with the South African Air Force during the Second World War and thence with the No. 3 Squadron, Royal Rhodesian Air Force. Having earned his A.F.C. - one of just a handful to Rhodesia - he was Acting Station Commander at New Sarum that year and took the position in 1968. Coleman later went on the Diplomatic Mission from Rhodesia in 1973 after having retired from the Air Force; sold together with copied research including several images featuring Coleman.
