F. Schult is confirmed upon the roll with entitlement to this medal and clasp.

The Cape Mounted Riflemen were formed of the Frontier Armed and Mounted Police, renamed the Cape Mounted Riflemen in 1878 and fully militarised as a unit of the Colonial Forces. They fought in the Moorsi campaign in 1879 in Basutoland, and during peacetime was a police force.
