D.C.M. London Gazette 29 August 1917:

'For conspicuous gallantry and skilful leading. He has led the bombers in a most gallant and able manner, and greatly assisted the operations in his sector.'

Arthur Hiscock was born in May 1894 at Devizes and served in France with the 1st Battalion from 14 August 1914. He died at Devizes in April 1974.
