(g) Victoria (1837-1901), 'Shieldback' Sovereigns, 1863, Type IB (2), [Die 15], second larger young head, W.W. incuse on truncation, rev. crowned normal shield in wreath, edge milled, 7.96g, 6h; another, similar [Die 16], 7.97g, 6h (MCE 524; Marsh 46; Spink 3853), the first wiped and lightly contact marked, yet some lustre to the legend and reverse, very fine, the second with some faint graffiti to the obverse, scratch to eye, yet residually lustrous, very fine (2)
