(g) Victoria (1837-1901), 'Shieldback' Sovereigns, 1863, Type IB (2), [Die 1], second larger young head, W.W. incuse on truncation, rev. crowned normal shield in wreath, edge milled, 7.98g, 6h; another, similar, [Die 2], 7.95g, 6h (MCE 524; Marsh 46; Spink 3853), the first with some faint graffiti to the obverse field, both with a scattering of very faint contact marks, yet both pleasingly lustrous, bolder very fine (2)
