(g) Victoria (1837-1901), 'Shieldback' Sovereigns, 1859, Type IA (2), second larger young head, W.W. incuse on truncation, rev. crowned normal shield in wreath, edge milled, 7.95g, 6h; another, similar, 7.97g, 6h (MCE 520; Marsh 42; Spink 3852D), the first with a small edge bruise to the reverse at 4 o'clock, both with rub to hair and lightly contact marked, yet with lustre to legends, just fine, the reverses better (2)
