Herbert Eyre Wilson was born on 21 January 1861 and was baptised at St John's Church, Meerut with his twin brother. He worked as a Clerk on the railways and was variously with the Audit Department of the Oudh & Rohilkhan Railway, when being married at Faizabad in 1884 and with the Sindh-Pishin Railway by 1890. Having been awarded his L.S. Medal as per Indian Army Order 448 of May 1901, he was thence a Guard at Quetta. Wilson died at Lahore in January 1915; sold together with copied research.
