Army L.S. & G.C., E.VII.R. (2097 Pte W. Price. S. Wales Bdrs.), minor edge knock, lightly polished, good very fine

William Price, of Weobley, Herefordshire, enlisted at Abergavenny on 30 December 1886 at the age of 21. Initially posted to the Depot at Brecon and awarded his Medal for Long Service and Good Conduct on 1 January 1907, he later saw active service in South Africa with the 2nd Battalion of the regiment and is additionally entitled to the Queen's South Africa Medal, clasps Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal; and King's South Africa Medal, clasps South Africa 1901 and South Africa 1902.
