Copy Distinguished Flying Cross, the reverse dated '1945', an old copy; 1939-45 Star; France and Germany Star; Defence Medal 1939-45; Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, with Overseas Clasp; War Medal 1939-45, these last three Canadian issues in silver, very fine (5)

Patrick Denson Roy was born in 1921 at Lethbridge, Alberta and was a stenographer upon the outbreak of the Second World War. Enlisting at Calgary in April 1942, he was commissioned in August 1943 and flew a tour of Operations with No. 415 Squadron. Having flown some 35 sorties at the time of earning his D.F.C., he completed just shy of 161 hours on Ops; sold together with his original Commissioning Document, this dated 20 August 1943.
