Defence Medal; War Medal 1939-45; Air Efficiency Award, G.VI.R., unnamed, the last toned, otherwise extremely fine (3)

Air Efficiency remains unconfirmed.

Iain William James Robertson was born on 29 January 1917. He enlisted as an Aircraftsman 2nd Class in May 1940. He received his Air Navigator's Certificate, Second Class on 19 May 1944.

He became an Air Traffic Control Officer from the end of the Second World War and was based at R.A.F. Kinloss. He was released from the Royal Air Force on 18 August 1947 and became an Officer of Customs and Excise for over 33 years, retiring in 1981. He died in 2019.
