Jack Edmund Davis was born at Weymouth, Dorset on 6 April 1916, he was a General Labourer before he joined the the Royal December 1934, he served on Greenwich from December 1940 until 7 June 1943 and was awarded his Auxiliary Watchkeeper Certificate on 11 April 1942. Davis served on Berwick from 31 December 1943 until 23 September 1945.

He left the Navy on 2 December 1956.
