Noel Parrington was born on 25 December 1885 and began his military career with the 12th Battalion West Yorkshire Regiment; he saw service in France from the 6 October 1915 and later transferred to the 11th Battalion. Parrington applied for his medals in June 1921 and they were sent to The Chestnuts, Eaton on Tern, Nr. Wellington, Shropshire. He died on 14 May 1941.
