(x) Army of India 1799-1826, short hyphen reverse, 1 clasp, Ava (W. Warmingham. 54th Foot.), very fine

William Warmingham was born at Haughton, Staffordshire and was a barber by trade upon his joining the 54th (West Norfolk) Regiment of Foot at Coventry on 19 February 1818. He served with his unit during at the storming of Ava (Medal & clasp). Having risen to Sergeant, he was reduced Private on 31 December 1829 and was discharged on 29 February 1840; sold together with copied service record.
