Army L.S. & G.C., E.VII.R. (3593 Pte G. Snell. Somerset: L. I.), very fine

George Snell was born at Walest, Bath, Somerset. He enlisted at Taunton on 15 March 1892, originally for the Royal Artillery but immediately transferred to the Somerset Light Infantry. he served in the East Indies between 31 March 1894-29 October 1908 and is entitled to an India General Service 1895-1902 with clasp, Punjab Frontier 1897-98. He was awarded his L.S. & G.C. in 1910 and was discharged at Bordon on 13 March 1913 at Bordon, Hampshire.
