Army L.S. & G.C., V.R. (Serjeant Major H. Bustin Bombay Unattached List), officially impressed naming, slightly loose claw, contact marks very fine

Henry Bustin was born at St.Giles, Oxford and was a Labourer prior to enlistment. He enlisted into the 52nd Foot on 15 March 1854 transferring to the 89th Foot on 23 November 1854 before transferring to the 49th Foot on 1 February 1855 where he remained until he transfers to the Bombay Staff on the 5th February 1870 where he remains until 20 April 1875. He has a final stint between 21 January 1879-20 January 1884 with the 3rd Battalion Durham Light Infantry.

He serves in the Crimea for 1 year and 7 months, with further service in the West Indies for 3 years and 2 months and East Indies for 9 years and 6 months. He is additionally enitled to a Crimea Medal with Alma and Inkermann clasps and aTurkish Crimea medal.

He was discharged at Netley with the intention of living in Aldershot.
