M.M. London Gazette 23 February 1918.

Donald M. Tritton of Metil, Fife, served with the 2nd Dragoons (Royal Scots Greys) during the Great War, entering the war in France with them on 12 December 1914. Also seeing service with the Corps of Dragoons, as noted upon his Medal Index Card and Medal Roll, interestingly, that his Campaign awards were re-issued in 1927 having been lost, handed to the Police, and returned to the War Office. His M.I.C. further notes his address as Earlish on the Isle of Skye; sold together with copied Medal Roll extracts and M.I.C.
