Henry Eric Penfold was serving as Flight Sergeant with the South African Air Force with the number of 213 in 1937. Appointed Warrant Officer on 1 July 1939 at Pretoria he was commissioned after the war and was serving in the rank of Captain by 1953; sold together with three original documents comprising a forwarding letter for the 1937 Coronation medal, Warrant Officer's document of commission and a forwarding letter for the 1953 Coronation medal.
