Leonard Sayer entered the Great War in Mesopotamia on 15 November 1914 with the 2nd Battalion, Norfolk Regiment. Surviving the war he later saw service in Waziristan with his medal issued in Balochistan and the roll signed in Aden; sold together with copied medal rolls.
