Robert Dowers served in France from 2 May 1915 with both regimental numbers confirmed on his M.I.C.. He was discharged in April 1919; the 7th (Deeside Highland) Battalion Gordon Highlanders (T.F.) saw much service on the Western Front during the Great War.
