Edwin Sowden was born at St.Paul's, Bristol and enlisted at Bristol. He entered the war in France from 24 July 1915 and was killed in action on the 15 November 1916, serving with the 8th Battalion, and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sowden, of 164, Victoria Road, Chessels, Bedminster, Bristol.
