Henry Hewitt was born at Maryhill, Lanarkshire and enlisted at Glasgow. He entered the war in France from 4 September 1915 and was killed in action on 13 September 1915 with the 13th Bn, and is buried in the Fosse 7 Military Cemetery (Quality Street) Mazingarbe.
