Thomas Foster served in France from 27 August 1914 and applied for the clasp and rosettes for the 1914 Star on 9 September 1928. He lived at 217 Hornley Street, Liverpool.

He is entitled to the Queen's South Africa medal with 4 clasps. His MIC notes 'SA Medal Vol 172' in red biro and a date in pencil of '10/7/64' .
