William White was born at Paddington, London in 1888 and enlisted for service with the Royal Army Service Corps at Acton, London. He entered the war in France on 10 May 1915 with the 358th Mechanical Transport Company. Serving in France for over 2 years White was to die at No.10 Stationary Hospital, St. Omer on 7 February 1917. He is buried at Longuenesse (St. Omer) Souvenir Cemetery and was survived by his wife May White of 8 Stanley Street, Paddington; sold together with Commonwealth War Graves certificate and Soldiers Died in the Great War entry.
James Arthur Button worked as a Motor Driver prior to enlisting on 31 August 1916. Posted to the M.E.F. he served in Mesopotamia, receiving his final medical exam in Baghdad before being demobilised on 20 March 1920.
George Evans was born and enlisted at Gelli Ystrad, Glamorgan, Wales and entered the war at some stage after 1916. He was killed in action in the final days of the war on 3 November 1918 and is buried at Capelle-Beadignies Road, Cemetery near Cambrai. Evan's Commonwealth War Graves entry notes his unit as Royal Army Service Corps, attached 5th Cavalry Reserve Park; sold together with copied research comprising Commonwealth War Graves certificate, Soldiers Died in the Great War entry and typed notes as well as a photograph of the recipient's grave.
