Indian Mutiny 1857-59, 1 clasp, Delhi (J, Stevenson. 61st Regt), highlights polished, very fine

James Stevenson, of Lanarkshire in Scotland, joined the British Army in 1850, and until his discharge in May 1871 in noted as appearing no less than 24 times in the Regimental Defaulters' Book, and twice tried by Court Martial. His papers also note he suffered from frost-bite to his feet and toes whilst on campaign, and additionally was slightly wounded in August 1857.

Sold together with copied Medal Roll extracts and medical discharge forms.
