Crimea 1854-56, 3 clasps, Alma, Balaklava, Sebastopol (2434 Thomas Armour 42nd Royal Highlanders), contemporarily engraved naming, edge bruising and contact marks, very fine
Thomas Armour was born at Barony, Glasgow, Lanarkshire in 1830 and enlisted at Glasgow on 13 January 1847. He saw service in Bermuda for nearly four years before entering the Crimean War in 1854. Unfortunately, the unsanitary conditions during the campaign caused Armour to fall into ill health, he was discharged at Chatham on 31 March 1847.
