India General Service 1854-95, 1 clasp, Pegu (Captn Wm Borthwick. 9th Regt M.N.I.), lightly toned good extremely fine

William Borthwick was born on 13 May 1811: made a Cadet in 1827, promoted to Second Lieutenant on 5 January 1828, Lieutenant 13 March 1833, Captain 31 March 1845, Major 27 September 1859. He died on 24 January 1874.
