Royal Navy L.S. & G.C., G.V.R. (Ply.8096 J. E. C. Sullivan. Pte, R.M.L.I.), good very fine

John Edward Carey Sullivan was born on 2 March 1874 at East Stonehouse, Plymouth, Devon, and was a tailor by trade. He enlisted on 22 February 1897 and continued his trade as a tailor within the Royal Marines. He earned his L.S. & G.C. Medal on 16 June 1912, and remained in Plymouth throughout the Great War and was demobilised on 17 April 1919.
