Walter Blower worked as a bus conductor prior to enlistment with the Royal Armoured Corps on 4 April 1940. Here he worked as a truck driver with his testimonial stating:
'Has done excellent service with this unit in N. Africa + N. W. Europe as a truck driver he has proved himself very satisfactory indeed + takes a pride in keeping his vehicle in first class condition. An honest + consciousness soldier.'
Blower was released at Catterick, Yorkshire on 6 August 1946; sold together with a large archive of original research comprising:
