Cuthbert Phillips was born on 14 December 1885 at Kingston and enlisted on 19 February 1912 into the 6th Battalion, East Surrey Regiment. He was serving with 'C' Company, 9th Battalion when taken Prisoner of War at Cherisy on 3 May 1917. He was disembodied on the 28 March 1919; sold together with his certificate of Disembodiment.
