Alfred Goodman was born at Walworth and enlisted at Camberwell. He served overseas from 11 December 1915 and was killed in action on 26 July 1916, aged 24, whilst serving with 156th Brigade H.Q. and is buried in the Flat Iron Copse Cemetery, Mametz. He was the son of William H. and Ellen Goodman and husband of Lilian Goodman of 5A Marcia Road, Old Kent Road, London; sold together with forwarding notes for the Medals, marriage certificate, photograph and CWGC details on his grave inscribing, dated 8 March 1927.
